What to Expect
The Alpha Pro Process
Based on your desired treatment type (hair removal/IPL/Bright & Tight). Your aesthetician will prepare you and make sure you are comfortable and pain free throughout your treatment.
On the day of your treatment, your aesthetician will ensure your skin is clean and shaved. The aesthetician will use a melanin meter, MILO to determine the amount of melanin (color) in your skin. The Aesthetician will enter your melanin level into the Alpha Pro system. The Alpha Pro will display your personalized treatment parameters based on your skin type (Fitzpatrick level I-VI). The aesthetician will make any necessary adjustments based on treatment type (hair removal/IPL/Bright & Tight). The aesthetician will place protective eyeware on herself and on you. Prior to the start of the treatment, gel will be applied to the treatment area and the laser treatment will begin.

During this personal one-on-one, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss all your concerns, your goals for treatment, and your medical history. Alpha Pro offers a variety of state of the art treatments on various body parts that can all be performed on the same day. Since treatments can be customized the length of the treatments may vary per client.

Every patient is different, and individual results will vary. However, most clients see results immediately depending on which Alpha Pro treatment they are having performed.
Pre-Treatment
Pre-Care Instructions
Prior to Your Alpha Pro Treatment in lower Westchester, Dream Sculpt Body Spa Recommends:
- Please shave all pigmented hair from desired treatments areas prior to your appointment.
- Discontinue any irritant topical agents for 2-3 days prior to treatment.
- Please remove contacts prior to face treatments.
- The client is to avoid tanning for at least 4 weeks before treatment or the use of self-tanners. Any alteration in the natural color of the skin will affect the outcome.
- The client is to arrive to the treatment with clean skin (no lotion, makeup, perfume or powders).
- Must be off Isotretinoin (Accutane) for at least 6 months prior to treatment. Must be off Tretinoin (Retin-A) for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment.
- If you have a history of herpes simplex you may need to get prophylactic treatment 1 week before laser treatment to avoid any outbreaks.
- Avoid caffeine 24-48 hours before the treatment.
Comfort
Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Hydration
Drink plenty of water & stay hydrated.
Hygiene
Shave the treatment area if needed for maximum skin contact.

- Please wear SPF 30 to SPF 50 Daily
- Avoid Heavy Sweating/exercising Day of Treatment
- Do Not Take Steam Showers the Day of Treatment
